Regional Tender for Development of Exoskeletons for Rehabilitation

On March 16th Lombardy Region published two pre-commercial Tenders in the area od Research and Development. The scope is construction of an exoskeletal mechatronic system for the  rehabilitative motor therapy in neurological patients with motor disabilities of the upper limb, and for a system of safe broncoaspiration.

The two tenders have an estimated value of € 2.609.745,91 (excluding VAT) and € 1,133,068.852 (excluding VAT) and will have a duration of 45 months.

It should be noted that the testing and validation of the prototype of the mechatronic system for the rehabilitative motor therapy in neurological patients with rehabilitative motor disability and neurological patients with motor disability of the upper limb will be performed at the Motion Lab premises (Movement Opportunities and Technology Innovations for Neurorehabilitation LABoratory) of Casa di Cura Privata del Policlinico (CCPP), the Health Authority promoting the requirements of the contract, with the purposes of evaluating the real performance of the prototype as well as the degree of effective compliance of the same with the requirements established in the Technical Specifications, identifying any structural, ergonomic, functional and performance deficiencies and therefore verifying their compliance with safety and usability requirements.
