The history of the Casa di Cura Privata del Policlinico starts in 1907, the founding year of the company “Casa di Salute del Policlinico delle Specialità Medico Chirurgiche” by a group of doctors who pursued their profession in Milan.
Since 1924, the Company changes its name to “Casa di Cura del Policlinico” and moves from its original address of Via Ariberto, in the historic center, to Via Giuseppe Dezza 48, where it is still situated today.
Major restructuring carried out during the years 2004-2005, made it possible to expand and remodel the entire structure combining the needs dictated by medical science with the existing spaces, in order to provide patients with the combination of efficiency and comfort. From November 2005 all surgical activities for private patients were terminated and the hospital underwent a process of accreditation for rehabilitative functions as defined by the regional requirements. From then on, the rehabilitative hospitalizations have been focused on particularly complex neurological patients, conveying a significant multidisciplinary and professional interdisciplinary benefit to our patients. To date, the clinic is structured as follows:
• Department of Neuro-Rehabilitation 148 beds of Specialist Rehabilitation (NHS);
• Specialized Clinic (NHS);
• Outpatient Rehabilitation Center (private);
• Blood Withdrawals Area (private).

In accordance with the latest provisions and following what is specified by the Lombardy Region in Italy, the Board of Directors has approved an Ethical Code of Conduct on February 7, 2013. This document represents the set of values, principles, and codes of conduct which all activities of Casa di Cura Privata del Policlinico must comply with. Casa di Cura Privata del Policlinico’s administration together with its coordinators have implemented, and maintain functional the Quality Management System with reference to the validity of international standards UNI EN ISO 9001:2008. This quality management system was carry out in order to get the best results in relation to the activities of hospitalization and treatment, for both Inpatient and Outpatient services. The guiding principles of clinical activities are the protection of the life, physical and mental health, freedom and dignity of the person. The introduction of the system is aimed at delivering inspired and innovative health services, meliorate scientific knowledge and experience, and use the appropriate human and technological resources to continuously improve the service through training courses and retraining for staff. Casa di Cura Privata del Policlinico’s administration is committed to identify, acquire, and use technological resources that ensure a reliable achievement of the results. All this in respect of the safety of patients and staff and to take the necessary measures to increase the competence of personnel with particular reference to the following objectives:
• assisting any person who uses the services offered by CCPP according to the best scientific evidence ;
• reduce hospital infections by implementing prevention strategies ;
• improve the comfort and safety of the environment ;
• minimize the biological risk for operators;
• implement the multidisciplinary and integration between different health professionals ;
• Improve satisfaction with training detectable using the appropriate questionnaires ; improve the quality of courses detectable by the percentage of attendance to events.
